The Tiroler Ground Forces (Ladin: Forzes Tëra dl Tirol) are the principal land warfare forces of Tirol, a part of the Tiroler Defence Forces. As of 2021, the Tiroler Ground Forces consist of 112,000 personnel total including active and reserve forces.
The modern Tiroler Army traces back to the Republicans at the outset of the Civil War in 1890, though in 1893 the older Royal forces were integrated, hence many elements of the Tiroler Ground Forces date back to 1733, the foundation of the first professional Tiroler Army.
The Tiroler Ground Forces are one of the three main military arms of the Defence Forces of Tirol, alongside the Tiroler Aviation Corps and the Tiroler Navy.
