Overview
The championship was contested first in a league format, in which all 12 clubs played home and away against every other club, mostly in the autumn season. At the conclusion of this stage, the six best clubs would compete a championship round, in which their points that far were halved and each team would play the five others a further two times. This caused controversy in the contest when CP Innsbruck emerged as the champions and hence promoted to the LFE Champions League despite SU San Laurënz leading at the end of the main league stage.
The three teams at the bottom end of the league would compete in the relegation round, alongside the three best performing teams in the Naziunellia, the contemporary name of Tirol's second league. These teams would compete twice against each other team in the round with the three best being promoted, or returned to the Lia Naziunela, whilst the rest were returned to the Naziunellia. In the 1975 relegation round, two of the three Lia Naziunela teams regained their position, whilst CP Fassa was relegated to the Naziunellia, with Absam CP claiming its position for the 1975–1976 Lia Naziunela

Championship round
The points obtained during the regular season were halved (and rounded down) before the start of the playoff. As a result, the teams started with the following points before the playoff: SU San Laurënz 15, CP Federazion 15, CP Innsbruck 14, SU Trënt 12, CP Maran 11, and Tergiolàs SU 11. The points of CP Innsbruck, CP Maran and Tergiolàs SU were rounded down – in the event of any ties on points at the end of the playoffs, a half point would have been added for these teams.
