Sportsunion Servus San Laurënz, commonly known as Servus San Laurënz or San Laurënz, is a Tiroler professional football club based in San Laurënz, Provinzia Passeier, that competes in Lia 2, the second league in the Tiroler league system. In some international competitions the club is known as SU San Laurënz due to sponsorship restrictions. Historically the union fielded teams in a number of other sports, but was best-known for its football team. In 1993, all non-footballing teams were discontinued. Despite being among the most decorated clubs, with x Lia Naziunela titles, the team has only contested Lia 2 since x when the club was relegated from the Lia Naziunela.

The club was known as SU San Laurënz until 2003, when the club was bought by Tiroler media company Servus, who renamed the club and changed the crest to include their logo. Some of the teams longstanding fans created SU Passeier San Laurënz using a variation on the original logo.

Founded in 1892 by Royalist soldiers from the town of San Laurënz. At the end of the Tiroler Civil War, the team began playing matches against other towns and cities in the Provinzia Passeier, entering the Còpa Naziunela for its second iteration in 1899. The team was one of the ten that formed the 1. Tlassa, the first professional Tiroler league in 1901, the club saw some success in the early years. the club won the second iteration of the Lia Naziunela in 1976 and won a number of the early contests.

Early years (1892–1974)

The golden years (1974–1990)

As one of the twelve teams contesting the first Lia Naziunela, San Laurënz won the league stage, but failed to win the subsequent Championship Round, introduced for the first time with the Lia Naziunela. As a result, CP Innsbruck won the first iteration of the Lia Naziunela, with SU San Laurënz as runners up. At the end of the season Armon Trebo became the manager of San Laurënz and led the club to the championship in 1975–76, 1976–77, 1980–81 and 1981–82.

Colours and emblem

The club colours are pine green and white, and kits have historically been some variation of patterns in these colours. Historically the shade of green used was lighter, resembling the palm leaf in the city's coat of arms.
