Aktau is the Capital and the largest city in Akhmola. it is the economic centre of the country and also serves as the capital of the Akhtau region. The city was first settled in the 8th century BC, however it became the capital of a newly independent akhmola after The Collapse of the Saratovan Khanate in 430BC.
