The death of Esenaysh Khongkhai occurred on June 9, 2023 at the presidential retreat near Khotshir, Alama. According to the government of Uulgadzar, the attack occurred at 3:32 am when a fire was lit inside the president's room. They allege that the back of the building near the room was coated in gasoline, which allowed the fire to spread faster than usual as was observed by firefighters at the scene.
