History

Political Positions

Energy and Environmental Policies

The Libertist Party does not believe in environmental regulations on businesses, nor do they believe in laws capping oil and natural gas production and use. They are in favor of offshore drilling, expanding fracking for oil and natural gas. They seek to withdraw from any international agreements on environmental protection policies. They do not believe in government subsidies for wind, solar, or nuclear power.

Healthcare

The Libertist Party does not believe in a largely government funded healthcare system and advocate for privatization of the healthcare system. They advocate for lower funding for low income healthcare and believe in a employment requirement to receive the low income healthcare. They do not believe in regulation of life saving drugs. They also believe in freedom and decreased regulation for health insurers.

Economics and Public Spending

The Libertist Party follows a enterprise capitalist agenda as opposed to social market economics. The Libertist Party does not believe in business regulation and supports a free market without interference. The Libertist Party believes the anti-monopoly laws hold businesses back. The Libertist Party believes the government should not regulate businesses, even when it comes to privacy and private data collected by businesses. The Libertist Party belives the laws of supply and demand will protect the consumer, not government regulations. The Libertist Party does not believe in government support for labor unions, especially the compellance laws. They believe workers should be free to negotiate on their own or find new employment. The Libertist Party supports a flat tax for the social safety net rather than the opt-in policy. The Libertist Party believes in state level and federal taxation, a distinction not often made between the two almost seamless entities. The Libertist Party believes in higher income taxes, home ownership taxes. They do not believe in public spending on transportation, no federal minimum wage, no increased taxes for the rich, no subsidies to farmers, lower taxes for corporations, cuts to public spending all around, and no economic incentives to businesses.

Foreign, Defense, and Trade Policies

The Libertist Party supports free trade and agreements with foreign entities to empower business growth and cheaper prices. They do not agree with tariffs on imports. They prefer foreign spending over defense spending. No domestic surveillance and data collection on citizens. They do not believe in the conscription laws. The Libertist Party supports diplomacy, multilateral agreements, and globalism over a strong military.

Voting and Elections

They believe in term limits, no photo ID to vote, and no restrictions on campaign donations.

Crime and Drugs

They believe in the legalization and decriminalization of most drugs. They also believe in the privatization of prisons. They do not believe in firearm regulation.

Immigration

The Libertist Party believes the citizenship process should be streamlined to offer citizenship to any who want it. They do however seek to decrease temporary work visas, believe in a strong border security, and funding for programs for Ursha to be taught to immigrants.

Faith and religiosity

The Libertist Party believes the government should be secular. They have pushed to rid of the "Theocracy" classification and believe the public and companies will act with their own morality, pragmatism, and logical thinking, not needing the basis of faith. They support the death penalty.

Abortion, reproductive rights, LGBT+ and marriage policies

The Libertist Party believes marriage should be adopted and presided over by the state and give tax breaks for married couples. The Libertist Party also believes in same-sex marriage. The Libertist Party belives in the right to have abortions and government funding for it, and other reproductive health procedures and products.
