The Hsiayan-class submarine is a Monsilvan diesel-electric submarine class developed by Soong Shipbuilding Corporation. The design is an evolution from older Monsilvan submarines, but is slightly larger and has better noise reduction. The submarines were decommissioned by the Monsilvan Navy between 2009 and 2017, with some models being sold to other countries such as TBC, while some submarines have been modified to test air-independent propulsion and other technologies.
