The F-02 Sabie is a Single/Two seater (Vatiant dependable), single-engine, supersonic, all-weather, multirole fighter jet, designed as both a fighter and attack aircraft. The F-02 Sabie was designed by Pavulturilori National Aviation Bureau and is primarily used by the Pavulturilori Air Force, along with several air forces wroldwide.
Development
In the early 90's the New Illyrian Air Force has received a new air superiority fighter aircraft called the NIDV Draco-90, this raised conserns within the Royal Pavulturilori Air Force that Pavulturilor would not be able to protect its own skies, a contract was quickly announced by the military, with the requirements of a light, single-engined fighter with advance avionic systems.
To which several designs were submitted, and after through inspections by the contract committe, the design that was chosen to go into production would be called the F-95, the desogn was chosen for its already familiar delta-wing shape, and for featuring a full glass cockpit, a Quad Fly-By-Wire system, advanced radar and infra-red fire control systems.
3 years later, the F-95 protptype would go through its Maiden Flight on 11 June 1998, where the aircraft would test a missile launch against a target drone, simulating the radar signiture of the Illyrian Draco-90, then undergo a simulated dogfight against 3 aircraft piloted by the Escadrila de opoziție, and finish with mid-air refueling and go for a landing.
The protptype, piloted by the test pilot and former ace, Master Major Urrel Arieh Bar-Gal exeeded all expectations, in the report following the test flight, The aircrafts controls would be described as "smooth as saber", giving it is nickname "Sabie". it would be accepted into service with minimal modefications, the first serial production aircraft would be introduced to service in 2002, giving the aircraft its designation of F-02.
