The Kivuian Navy (Kivuian: Kivuische Marine), sometimes referred to as the Kivuian Naval Forces (Seestreitkräfte) is the naval warfare branch of the Kivuian Armed Forces. Founded in 1910, after the conclusion of the Kivuian Civil War, the Kivuian Navy is primarily tasked with the protection of Kivu's territorial waters and maritime infrastructure. Classified as a blue-water navy, the Kivuian Navy is capable of participating in global military amd peacekeeping operations, including humanitarian assistance, disaster relief, and anti-piracy operations.
Ships commissioned by the Kivuian Navy are given the prefix KMS, which stands for Kivuian Marine Schiff, meaning Kivuian Marine Ship in Jackian.
