The Walbrook Institute is an Icarisian public policy think tank founded in ___ prior to the foundation of Icaris in its predecessor nation, Migaza. The organization conducts research and education in the social sciences, primarily in economics and tax policy, metropolitan policy, governance, foreign policy, global economy, and economic development. Its stated mission is to "provide innovative and practical recommendations that advance three broad goals: strengthen Icarisian democracy; foster the economic and social welfare, security and opportunity of all Icarisians; and secure a more open, safe, prosperous, and cooperative international system."
Its founder, Owen Walbrook established the institution as a beacon of free thought, however, as the Migazan government evved and flowed through seasons of corruption, the Walbrook Institute did not always live up to that mantra.
Walbrook has been contracted by the Icarisian Election Commission, since ___, to be one of the five official pollsters for its elections. Walbrook is seen as the most centrist and most trusted research organization and has been ranked highest among other research organizations in how often they are cited by government officials.
