The Kernevic units, or Principality units are the system of measurement used in Kernev since the Measurement Standards of the Principality Act 1866. Since 2016, the formal definitions of Kernevic units are defined in their ratio to the international standard Metric units, rather than through the maintenance of formal standards in Marazion.
The 1866 act had replaced previous standards which were maintained by princely prerogative, these units varied over time as customs around commerce in Kernev changed. Due to the dominant industries of fishing and mining, separate systems emerged for measurement in these industries where in most states these measurements are typically general.
