The Tarm RFB (Rifle, Forward-ejection, Bullpup) is a gas-operated bullpup type semi-automatic rifle, manufactured by Tranquil Arms of Tranquillia. Under contract from the Tranquillia Defence Guard, 700 RFB's where produced and sent to the nearby Marley Barracks to undergo trial testing by the Ground forces of Tranquillia, The rifle passed its round of testing by the Defence guard and an additional 12,000 units were ordered to replace the existing main rifle of the Defence Guard. At the 2008 "International Sporting Shooters Show" it was declared by Tranquil Arms representatives that the RFB rifle would be made available to the public by the 4th quarter of 2008. The rifle first shipped to civilian distributors in the first week of March 2009
Variants
Tranquil Arms has produced at least 3 variants of the RFB for both the governmental and civilian market.
- Carbine with an 18 in (460 mm) barrel.
- Civilian variant with 24 in (610 mm) length barrel, and a 15 round maximum magazine.
- Government version with either a heavy profile 32 in (810 mm) barrel or 26 in (660 mm) stainless steel barrel.
