Sterling Extraction Company was founded in 1870 in Carley, Villavaunt, Krystallum by Joseph and Niles Sterling, industrialists. Joseph was an avid businessman and entrepreneur while Niles was a chemist by trade and had become an investor in natural resources extraction and refinement. At the beginning of the company, they focused on refining Joseph and Niles founded the Sterling Extraction Company and began purchasing several small exploratory companies in the same area with leases on land in

Auress Oil Company (1887)

Auress Oil Company was founded as a breakoff company in 1887 and went on to be on of SEC's biggest rivals.

Initial financial downturn (1901)

Explosions at the SEC drilling sites causes financial downturn for the company.

Sclarif Refinery

In 1903, SEC signed an exclusionary deal with the Sclarif Refinery and limiting Sclarif's refining capacity, in hopes that this move will slow oil production SEC's rivals.

Tevis Oil Company

SEC purchased Tevis Oil Company in 1906.

Sclarif Refinery

SEC purchased the Sclarif Refinery outright in 1910.

1925 acquisitions

SEC purchased Doherty Petro Corporation and Acadia Petroleum Company in 1925.

International expansion

Krystallic President Calvin Wood authorizes the government to bankroll the establishment of a Urshawan-Krystallic Oil Company, operated by SEC.

In the same year, SEC founded the Piranian Oil Division with the Piranialand government, expanding into Waldoccia.

Vesterpike Oil Company

SEC merges with heavy-hitter Vesterpike Oil Company, refounds their company as Sterveste in 1931.
