The Independent Reform Party (In Hazbinian: Независима реформаторска партия) (PIR) is a political party in Hazbin that aims to promote both economic and social liberalism in the country. Under the leadership of Giovanni Schembri, the party currently serves as an opposition in the Hazbinian parliament. With a centrist approach, the PIR has traditional ties to the middle and upper-middle classes, including white-collar workers, bureaucrats, academics, university students, intellectuals from different political backgrounds, and labor unions.
The party was established in 2020 in response to various disagreements among members of the now-defunct Centrist Union alliance. It emerged as a coalition of groups sharing the goal of promoting democratic reforms in the country. The PIR represents the reformist faction within the parliament, seeking a constitutional reform to make it more democratic and also advocating for limitations on the emperor's powers. Despite being the youngest party in the parliament, the PIR surprised everyone by gaining significant popular support and obtaining a significant number of parliamentary seats.
