Ray Nunn is an Icarisian lawyer and government official. He was a federal prosecutor for 20 years before serving for 24 total years as the Director of the Bureau of Prisons and Detention. He also served as the Counsel to the Ministry of Judicial Oversight from 2056-2063. Nunn was named as the Director of the BILE after Peter Talbot's termination. He was removed from the role by Minister of Judicial Oversight Tod McCarthy in 2073. Throughout Nunn's career there were allegations of his own personal sexual misconduct and mistreatment of prisoners within the Bureau of Prisons and Detention. Ass early as 2047, allegations were swept under the rug by then Minister of Judicial Oversight, Diego Hidalgo. In 2073, 15 women came forward with sexual harassment claims; Nunn settled with the federal prosecutor in 2074, paying 65 million and serving no jail time. The deal was revisited by Attorney General Colin Mayfield in 2078, and in 2079 Nunn was convicted of 9 of 15 counts of sexual assault and sentenced to 36 years in prison at age 77.

Sexual Misconduct, Settlement, and Re-Conviction

In 2047, upon the announcement of his appointment to be Director of the BPD, two women came forward claiming Nunn has made sexually suggestive remarks and threatened to sexually assault them during his time as a federal prosecutor. Deputy Minister of Judicial Oversight, who had been in the role for 13 years, denied the allegations and defended Nunn's character. Minister Hidalgo addressed the issue as minor rumors and he was assured the proper investigations would be conducted. Nunn denied the claims and brought evidence to the media regarding the termination of the two women by the Ministry of JO for lack of disclosing conflict of interest and perjury. Nunn claimed the women were terminated not by his office, but by the ministry for failing to uphold the ethics and integrity their positions required.

Nunn was fired from his role as Director of the BILE in 2073, with Minister McCarthy making the statement: "Former Director Nunn was wrongly placed in a role for which he was unqualified and unequipped to hold. His appointment was part of a corrupt government scheme to cover-up wrongdoing at the highest levels. Nunn's career experience did not qualify him to lead our nation's top investigative organization and records from his tenure as BILE director demonstrate a pattern of mishandling of crucial investigations, organizational mismanagement, and a leadership culture that enforced a toxic and unsafe environment for the employees. Nunn has not only been removed from his role as Director of the BILE, but he will not longer hold any position in this Ministry."

In 2073, after his termination from the role of Director of the BILE, 15 women came forward claiming Nunn had sexually harassed and intimidated them.

In 2074, charges were filed against Nunn. He struck a deal with the federal prosecutor to pay 65 million in settlement money to victims in exchange for no prison time. This settlement was heavily criticized by the public and the media with Minister McCarthy receiving the most criticism.

In 2077, Minister McCarthy had allegations of his own brought against him. He was convicted of rape in 2081; however, the case was appealed and his sentence was shortened to time served.

In 2078, the AG Colin Mayfield filed a motion with the Chief Justice to review the settlement and evidence from the federal prosecutor's office against Ray Nunn. The Chief Justice affirmed the review and the AG brought criminal charges again Nunn. The case was heard by the Chief Justice and in 2079 Nunn was convicted on 7 counts of sexual assault and sentenced to 36 years in prison with the option of parole after 12. Nunn was 77 years old at the time of his conviction.
