The Paleocacherian Selkie is the national currency of the republic of Paleocacher. It is one of the few currencies in the world that match or exceed the Quebecshirite Credit trading at 1.2 credits to the Selkie. Selkies are so called because the first coins had a stamp of a Selkie, a seal like creature from Paleocacherian mythology stamped on the back with a treasury stamp on the other side.
