Liersaat is the capital city of the Federal Republic of Eserol. It is located in the central portion of the country entirely within the Capital District province lying along the southeastern bank of the Fortis River in the central valley. The population of the city is 2,233,122 and is also the largest city by population in Eserol. The city experiences a humid continental climate with warm but not hot summers and cool to cold wet winters. Snow is common during the winter but not abundantly so as the city is further south and lower in elevation than much of interior Eserol.
History
The city of Liersaat was founded in the upper Fortis River valley as it was a logical crossing point among the Eser peoples of the region and in the 11th century became a popular and strong trading point in the inland mountain area of Northern Ercos. This led to the growth of Eserol and its importance of balancing the power among the Eser tribal regions.
