The Liberal Party, known as Partit Liberali in Hazbin, is a political party with origins dating back to the 18th century. Liberal groups composed of nobles and bourgeoisie appeared and dissolved over time until the Liberal Party was founded in 1900 during the republican period. In 1930, the party adopted monarchist and parliamentary ideas. After the fall of the republic, the party was dissolved, only to reemerge in 1979. The Liberal Party sees itself as a rival to the Conservative Party and the Valkist Party, but in 1990, it began to ally with the conservatives and ceased hostilities with the Valkists when the Social Democratic Party gained more strength.
