Hiwar (Arabic for "discussion") is an online instant messaging platform developed in Fajar El Ziqara, Greater Sacramento. Users can communicate via message through either Direct Message, Group DMs, or in Servers which contain channels for topic related discussion. Servers also contain voice channels which hold the ability to allow communication between multiple people through audio and video. Hiwar is available on the internet through a browser and as an app on most platform. As of December 2020 there are 290 million users of Hiwar world wide. The platform is free to use though users can buy a monthly or yearly subscription for perks such as an increased uploading size for files. Many have criticized the platform to harbor extremist groups such as xenophobes due to the amount of privacy the platform allows.
