Elmontalism

Elmontalism is one of the major religions in Ablaria. It focuses around the core ancient principles of fire, earth, wind and water, each of them having elemental spirits to reside over them. It is unclear if there is one major spirit for each element or lots of little ones with people all over the country acting differently on what they think. Each element also has similar things associated with it. Water is associated with life (due to every life form needing it), Earth is associated with fortune and luck (since gold and riches come from the earth), wind is associated with freedom (since air has no goals and does what it pleases untethered) and fire is associated with death (it being the polar opposite of water and being the only one that consumes life to survive).

Each region has a mixed following of each group apart from the region of Embré that has a major favouring towards the element of fire, displaying their ruthless tendencies and efficiency to get what they desire. They are often viewed with hate and perfectly innocent Embréns are subjected to ruthless torture at the hands of the public because of their not very pleasant history and current state. Every time an Embrén is voted in, those two years are referred to as السنوات التي لا تشرق فيها الشمس or the years when the sun doesn't shine.
