Paleocacher and Reykanes had been improving relations and it was going well. After the volcano eruption the kingdom fell apart when the king died. The nation broke up.The Person called Sturla has started campaigning to Nobles to join his side. Nobles would send him military support in return a unified reykanes. He Made The commonwealth of Reykanes in June of 1323 with the help of Paleocacher. He got support in the south. First the Cape and slowly north he gained lands. He didnt wanted to provoke anyone but that time came. Many supporters of the old system didnt want to align with the commonwealth nor Paleocacher. This started the slow war of the Reykani succesion. It spammed 4 years. At first House of Sigfússon had the numbers but with decisive battles in the hills the Commonwealth won with more superior weapons and got support from Paleocacherian Tacticians. Over 4 years there was 8 battles in total. 3 won by the Monarchy in the first year and later 5 was won by the Commonwealth after getting help. This war was Mainly about support from the people and nobles.
first 2 years
At the end of 1323 the kingdom recovered from the results of the volcano but without any new king. With no one next on the thrown the kingdom fell apart in to "Little kingdoms" controlled by the local Nobles. In 1924 Jón a cousin of the last king wanted to reunite the kingdom, Onfortunately for him the crown in a emergency to save it from being stolen was taken to Cape Nátfari, a couple of weeks later Sturla decleared the commomwealth who wouldnt give the crown to him easily. Some Nobles would make it harder for them to reach the city. In 1325 Norse clan was decleared in the North East. These were Norse people who wanted to return to the old viking age. Jón has gotten some Nobles support around Hafnir which made the Reykjanes penninsula unified under him. He went to battle with some Nobles that blocked him access to east. With his larger army he defeated them in a single battle. Meanwhile Sturla has gotten quite a lot of support in the south. He went to a battle a Noble South east of him which he sorrunded. Soon after he quickly went to battle againts the kingdom to take control of the strip, which Jón was currently working on controlling it. The battle was in 1925 and was won by Jón and was a big defeat to the commonwealth. This resulted several months of unable to do any new attacks. New policies were intruduced that was succesfull in getting more support from the people. Soon the Paleocacherian help arrived. In 1926 they started to attack the Norse clan and defeated them in one battle. The northern threat was taken out and they can take their attention to the strip
last 2 years
By 1327 Jón was recruiting to make their army bigger to counter the new army from Paleocacher who were helping Sturla. They soon attacked the commonwealth which was the deadliest battle in the war. Both sides lost many men, but in the end the kingdom won. The help soon arrived to the strip and after that the commonwealth won a battle and got controlled the strip. It was a straight way to Hafnir, however in reality it was a slow way since the kingdom had still their army and regrouped and managed to slow them down. Another two battles were fought which were won by Sturla. The war ended in 1328.
