'''War of the Reykani Succession''' was a conflict that lasted from 1324 till 1328 between the royal House of Vilankthian-Tyrne and the rebellious oligarch families, fought over control of the Reykani throne. Viceroy Snorri Sturluson invited Jón Loftsson to claim the throne in 1324, where he traveled to Hafnir and was crowned the King of Reykanes. This was met with opposition and wasn't recognized by the biggest oligarch families, which were nicknamed "Little Kings". They came in to direct conflict at the Battle of Cape Nàtfari, thus starting the War of Succession.
Paleocacher and Reykanes had been improving relations and it was going well. After the volcano eruption the kingdom fell apart when the king died. The nation broke up.The Person called Sturla has started campaigning to Nobles to join his side. Nobles would send him military support in return a unified reykanes. He Made The commonwealth of Reykanes in June of 1323 with the help of Paleocacher. He got support in the south. First the Cape and slowly north he gained lands. He didnt wanted to provoke anyone but that time came. Many supporters of the old system didnt want to align with the commonwealth nor Paleocacher. This started the slow war of the Reykani succesion. It spammed 4 years. At first House of Sigfússon had the numbers but with decisive battles in the hills the Commonwealth won with more superior weapons and got support from Paleocacherian Tacticians. Over 4 years there was 8 battles in total. 3 won by the Monarchy in the first year and later 5 was won by the Commonwealth after getting help. This war was Mainly about support from the people and nobles.

Background

The origins of the conflict can be traced to the demise of King Skapti in 1322, the long-reigning monarch of Reykanes without any heirs nor any family members alive in the country.
