The Waldoccian Empire was an ancient empire known by its ancient temples and being one of the first organized communities Waldoccian continent. The Empire began highly sophisticated for its time in writing, math, art, and astronomy and architecture but eventually failed due to its failure to establish a consistent governing system and its tendency toward violence and mayhem.
The Empire developed and began in 161 in the City of Janus which is today Luciamáni and expanded throughout the continent. By the time of its downfall in 323, almost the entire southern part of the continent was incorporated into the Empire.
After their official founding, they began to expand, conquering the lands (mostly agrarian villages) as they moved. The Waldoccian tribe was a collection of ethnic groups unified as a community. As they expanded, different families settled in their new lands and formed new communities, blending with the current tribes inhabiting those lands. They established the first complex societies in the region and the cultivation of the staple crops of their diet, including maize, beans, squashes, and chili peppers.
The brutally of the Waldoccian Empire was notable. Their methods of pillaging and assault led to a horrific reputation as savages. Their uncontrolled actions, however, led to their downfall. By 323, they had expanded to the entire southern part of the continent. They had strong city states, but their actions were purely reactionary and they had no clear internal governing structure. Their vastness, combined with their tendency toward violence and mayhem led to their collapse. They were rivaled in the north by the unified Tribe of Riobi that began to take on the innovation and intentional community structuring that the Waldoccians began in 161.
When the Waldoccian Empire fell, it broke into nine city states.
