The region of Vaktria (Vaktrian: Vaktrıa) is an area located east of the Andaluzian Sea in Western Ecros. It is part of modern-day Terranihil. Its name comes from Proto-Vaktrian for road or way. Vaktria is the homeland of the Vaktrian people and of Astrianism.
Throughout history, the region has been controlled by many different peoples and nations, including the Kingdom of Vaktria, the Romanyan Empire, the Septarban Kingdom, the Ragasan Kingdom, the Zuhraid Caliphate, the Haltemid Caliphate, the Mikailan Kingdom, the Emirate of Araz, the Nasrid Emirate, the Terranilian Empire, and Terranihil.
Ethnic Vaktrians make up the majority of the region. Druz are a major ethnoreligious minority who are descendants of Imrani Arabs. Vaktria is very religiously diverse. Other than Druz, it contains Astrians, Vaktrian Christians, Imranis, and Haythamites.
