Time in Reykanes by law is divided in to four standard time zones covering the municipalities and territories: North Western Standard Time (NWST; AMT+04:00), Hafnir Central Standard Time (HCST; AMT+05:00), and Eastern and Bird islands Standard Time (EBIST; AMT+06:00) and the WIP Islands are AMT+03:00 .Time is regulated by the individual municipality governments, some of which observe daylight saving time (DST). Reykanes's external territories observe different time zones.
