Svavarssonosaurus is a plateosaurid dinosaur described in 2008 from the Late Triassic Tjörnes Formation of Reykanes. It is named after the explorer Garðar Svavarsson whos sunken ship was also found near that formation.
discovery
In 4 Jun 2000, at the West Coast of Reykanes at the Tjönes formation a skull was umcovered.
