Svavarssonosaurus(Reykani:Svavarssonins ormr (Svavarsson's serpent)) is a plateosaurid dinosaur described in 2008 from the Late Triassic Tjörnes Formation of Reykanes. It is named after the explorer Garðar Svavarsson whos sunken ship was also found near that formation.
