Reykani–Romanyan relations comprised the (mostly indirect) contacts and flows of trade goods, of information, and of occasional travellers between the Romanyan Empire and the Kingdom of Reykanes. This contact would be influential of the history of Christianity in Reykanes. These ancient civilizations inched progressively closer to each other in the course of the history' Mutual awareness remained low, and firm knowledge about each other was limited. At the time Reykani fishing tradition was huge and some sailors sailed further than expected. After the War of the Aegir the Quebecshirite coasts were still used for fishing for a long time and they sailed even further to southern Ecros. Archeological findings suggest that the first contact would be in 103 AD. After many years of trial and error the Reykani fishermen would reach Romanyan Alaia in 103 AD. However firm acknowledgement from both civilizations wouldn't happen till the late 100s. It was the first contact for Reykanes between the most advanced world. Reykani-Romanyan relations were built on trade, both sides learned from each other, Many advancements were made in Reykanes. Sometimes even building styles started to creep into Reykanes, Most significantly visible in the ancient city of Hoffner to this day. However by the 300s when the Quebecshirite Dark Era ended eventually some areas became inaccessible for most fishing boats because they were chased away by the newly established civilizations thus new fishing spots were needed on the coasts of Ecros. Trade increased after 300 since Romanyan products were prefered.

Trade relations

No surviving records document any attempts of direct contact from both of the ancient civilizations, however direct trade links between the Caelean Sea and Alathlasiu Ocean were established in the early 100s. Reykani navigators learned to use the regular pattern of the winds for their trade voyages in the Vernier Ocean. The lively sea trade in the ancient Reykani times is confirmed by the excavation of small deposits of foreign coins along much of the coast of Reykanes. Many trading ports with links to Reykani communities have been identified in Romanyan Alaia along the route used by the Reykani navigators. Only Romanyan Alaia was ever used for trade, no evidence has been found that they ever visited other provinces of Romanya. Trades included goods ranging from salt and dyes to spices and Cod which were collected in exchange for honey, fur, high quality Romanyan glass and sometimes slave trades happened. The relations would never expand further then trade and spreading Christianism. When Romanyan Alaia was invaded in 630 AD all trade or connection between the two nations would end. No other interaction after that would take place between Reykanes and Romanya or the Savottan Empire.

Spread of Christianity

At the end of 300s several missionaries visited Reykanes to spread Christianity. The word of the new religion spread like wild fire in the major cities. At the time there was no major religion in Reykanes other then the Norse religion, however Christianity would slowly replace it. This is the time period when Christianity started in Reykanes. These travels by these missionaries would change the history of Reykanes drastically. When the relations between the two civilizations ended in 600, Christianity has already spread greatly that it already had a firm grip over Reykanes. First churches would be built and the first Bishops were appointed by the start of the 700s.

Human remains

A body was found in Reykanes who was buried with his sword which had Romanyan origins and a couple of Sestertii which was a currency used by Romanya mixed with Reykani Króna's. The sword was a Gladius and it is guessed that he stole it as a prize possession or was bought by him or gifted.
