Revanchism (Quebecshirite: Revanchisme) is a prominent political ideology in Quebecshire than can be directly traced back to the occurrence and aftermath of the Quebecshirite Civil War. Quebecshirite Revanchism isn’t entirely similar to the contemporary definition of Revanchism, however it has several parallels. It has seen several adaptations and forms since its inception following the civil war.

Revanchism is effectively an ideology that focuses on Quebecshirite unity and national reclamation following the Quebecshirite Civil War, with further focus on patriotism and the affirmation of the systemic principles and precedents set by the Orléans Negotiations and later the Constitution of Quebecshire. It tends to place a strong emphasis on Quebecshirite culture and customs, such as its language and the nation’s various economic and agricultural importance. There is generally an emphasis in Revanchism that the political unity, prosperity, and equality of all Quebecshirites should be the primary objective and priority of Quebecshire.

There tends to be a diversified group that is considered to fall under Revanchism, as it does not have a single nor official basis. Overall, outside of core cultural and national principles as well as general support of selective yet plentiful trading involvement for the benefit of Quebecshire, there is a general openness to varying opinions on social, economic, and other issues for those who consider themselves Revanchist.

Revanchists tend to be fairly tolerant of other nations, but generally prefer they remain in their own sphere outside of trade and diplomacy matters.

There is a degree of controversy on the political alignment of the typical representation of Revanchism in Quebecshire. Several analysts have stated it stands right of center, however most prominent Revanchists dispute this claim, stating Revanchism is a national-scale ideology devoid of common political biases. Additionally, the economic policies advocated by a noticeable amount of Revanchists are more reflective of social democracy.

Revanchism is generally represented by and associated with the Revanchist Party, a political political party in Quebecshire.
