Port Ignatius: Formerly known as Illyricus until 1628 AD, Port Ignatius is the capital of the United Socialist States of New Illyricum and it's largest city. Sitting at the end of the Illyric Peninsula and at the mouth of the Bay of Fishes it has been the capital of New Illyricum since it's original founding in 737 BC.
History
In 737 BC the several settlements which had long stood at the end of the Illyric Peninsula were brought together by King Illyrioc I and named as the city of Illyricus. Throughout the next seventeen centuries Illyricus gained power and fame, as did the Kingdom of Illyricum which grew up around Illyricus. Illyricus was sacked on three different occasions between 1000 and 1628 AD, however the city and Kingdom managed to persevere through the hardships.
