There are also two representatives who represent Paleocacher's two territories. The National Assembly was entirely either re-elected or newly elected in February 2020 after the 2020 Paleocacherian Constitutional Convention.

Chamber of the Senate

The Paleocacherian Senate is composed of 75 senators with three representing each state. The senators represent the interests of their states' governments primarily and are elected by popular vote. Each senator serves four year terms, elections are held every two years. The senators' terms are staggered so that at least one from each state is continuing their term during each election. As of 2022 the National Union Party holds a strong majority with 41 seats, the Paleocacherian Democratic People's Coalition holds 22 seats, the Paleocacherian Socialist Party holds 8, and the Domestic Liaison Group seats four representatives.

The representatives each represent a district of 500,000 people and are supposed to answer directly to their constituents on matters of policy, not to state governments or business interests. As of 2022 the Paleocacherian General Assembly has 203 members of the National Union Party, 118 members of the PDPC, 57 socialists, 27 members of the Domestic Liaison Group, and 7 members of Green Paleocacher.

Parties

National Union Party

The National Union Party, Pàrtaidh Nàiseanta an Aonaidh, is Paleocacher's dominant political party. It is center-right in political orientation. While generally leaning towards fiscally and socially conservative policies, the party is firmly behind equal rights for all and deemed necessary social welfare programs. The primary interests of this party are the national economic prosperity and security.

Paleocacherian Democratic People's Coalition

The PDPC, Co-bhanntachd Daoine Deamocratach Paleocacherian, is the successor to the center-left SOCP. It is generally in favor of expanding social welfare programs and is in favor of reforming the National Healthcare System of Paleocacher. This party's primary interests are an increase of power in the favor of the federal level government, a basic income, and improved education and healthcare social safety nets.

Paleocacherian Socialist Party

The PSP, Pàrtaidh Sòisealach Paleocacherian, is a far-left party that broke off from the SOCP in the 1980s. This party supports nationalization of businesses and mass media. It is opposed to widespread freedoms of speech, religion, and press. The PSP envisions a Paleocacher with forced equality between all including a mandated national healthcare and education system, guaranteed basic income, and harsh penalties for speaking out against the government.

Domestic Liaison Group

The DLG, Buidheann Ceangal Dachaigheil, is a very socially and fiscally conservative party that is resurgent since Paleocacher's involvement in Aurebeshia. None of the current members were elected but declared allegiance to the party in preparation for the 2022 election cycle, defecting from either the NUP or the PSP. This party is dedicated to strong border security, a strong Paleocacherian military, and financial independence from the rest of the world. It is dedicated to Paleocacher first and has a strong Nationalist base.

Green Paleocacher

Green Paleocacher, Paleocacher Uaine, is one of the oldest parties and consistently supports expanding renewable energy programs and promotes sustainability, climate change restrictions, and restrictions on big businesses.
