The National Union of Railway Workers (Ladin: Sindicat Naziunel di Feratieres, SNF) is a Tiroler trade union representing railway workers, maintenance and platform staff. Its current president is Andreia Caduff and its general secretary is Giachen Caviezel.
The SNF is often considered one of the most militant of Tiroler trade unions. They have balloted their members for strike action the second most of any trade union between 2015 and 2020.
Affiliations
The SNF is affiliated to a number of political organisations and trade union confederations. In Tirol, the SNF is affiliated with the CGS, the trade union congress of Tirol. Internationally it is affiliated to Labour Unions International.
Politically, the SNF is affiliated to the Labour Party. It is also affiliated to Sindicat, an organisation within the party that aims to promote traditional socialist principles within the Labour Party.
