Since becoming Speaker of the Parliament he has worked to maintain stability with Quebecshire’s international partners and continue the expansion of Quebecshirite influence on the world stage, primarily through diplomatic and economic agreements. He has helped direct Quebecshire’s economy to keep it balanced so it can continue to develop without drastically altering its uses.
Early life and career
LaRochelle was born to a middle class family in Anticosti, a city in southeastern Quebecshire. He completed schooling and was accepted into the University of Orléans where he studied political science. Following this, he returned to Anticosti for some time, getting involved in local politics.
Member of Parliament
LaRochelle was elected to Parliament in 1999 for his first term. He was a member of the National Union party within the Revanchist Party. LaRochelle served two terms before being appointed as Administrator of Education by Florence Ponce in 2009 when she assembled her Administration. During this time he primarily advocated the increase of educational funding to help modernize schools in Quebecshire.
Speaker of the Parliament of Quebecshire
In 2014, LaRochelle was elected as Speaker of the Parliament during the 2014 Quebecshirite Election Series. LaRochelle has presided over the Parliament of 468 Members and has worked alongside Grandmaster André Bellerose to further Quebecshirite trade and international involvement, as well as continue his domestic work with education and other economic factors. LaRochelle established an embargo on Morova in 2019. He is was re-elected in 2019 to both the Parliament and the position of Speaker of the Parliament. After re-election he allowed Quebecshire to enter the Terraconserva Economic Union.
