Levi Shamir (1985 - 2026) was the first President of the Theocratic States of Icaris and a former journalist. Shamir was an investigative journalist for his years before the Great War. After the fallout, Shamir joined a local faction near present-day Icaris. He was a well-known communicator, even at his young age. He helped organize the first Constitutional Convention and held a position as it's Chairman. The convention later voted him as the first President of the new country. He was respected by most that met him, demonstrating grace under pressure and a solid grasp of his values and what would make a community work well. His death came suddenly in 2026, two years into his second, and final, term as President. To this day, there is no concrete evidence of fowl play against Shamir, but it is widely accepted conspiracy that Shamir was assassinated.
