Hauptstadt is the capital and second largest city of Kivu. Located along the banks of the TBD River, It is the the seat of TBD and has a population of TBD. The city's urban area has a population of TBD, making it the second most populous urban area in Kivu as well as the country's most important center for politics, education, finance, culture, and research.
Hauptstadt International Airport, Kivu’s largest airport, is located on the southern side of Hauptstadt.
