| Description |
La bandera de Neiva está conformada por bandas de tres colores de igual ancho y longitud convencional que simbolizan las tres fundaciones de la ciudad. La primera banda o superior será de color rojo (Pantone 2035 C) que significa el valor, arrojo y amor a la libertad del pueblo huilense.
La segunda banda o central será de color verde (Pantone 2426 C) como homenaje al hombre, al trabajo, al esfuerzo creador en las letras, las artes y la cultura de la tierra y como símbolo de esperanza.
La tercera banda o inferior será de color amarillo (Pantone 115 C), que expresa la nobleza, hidalguía y espiritualidad del neivano así como la riqueza mineral de su territorio.
Cruzando la bandera de dentro hacia fuera y hacia arriba llevará una flecha indígena en negro que representa el espíritu de superación de nuestra raza.
Las dimensiones de la bandera no fueron definidas en su adopción por lo que el tamaño de la bandera será la misma de la bandera del Departamento del Huila, a saber, de dos (2) metros de ancho por tres (3) metros de largo en caso de ser izada, o sus dimensiones equivalentes guardando siempre las proporciones 2:3. Se conservan para la bandera de Neiva los mismos colores verde y amarillo de la bandera del Huila. La disposición de la flecha será de ancho y largo en proporciones 2:3, reducido al 80% con relación al todo y ubicada al centro. |
