The Azavedo Carga is a light commercial vehicle, sold primarily in its van format, used for primarily inter-city loads and occupations such as pluming or carpentry. It has also seen success in a wide variety of other areas such as a news van, or even being featured in the ever popular movie Calles Limpias. In general, van has seen wide use across terraconserva as a reliable and economical daily-driver for many. The first iteration of the Carga featured a 2.0 liter Prata engine featuring a useable amount power while making decent gas mileage. The most used version of the engine is the turbo charged version, making 155 lb-ft of torque at 63 horsepower. Andaluzian car review magazine, Carros Hoje called the turbo charged version the "true base model." This was in reference to the lack of power from the naturally aspirated version, and how the van was called "unusable" for certain road conditions such as the hills of Galveias.

The Azavedo Carga was created with the main purpose of providing the auto market with a small and efficient cargo vehicle. The best selling of all Carga models is the Carga model A, being the van version. The total cargo space is 111 cubic feet, with a 112 inch wheelbase. The motor was a new adventure for Azavedo, being their first diesel powered engine. Being their first, the engine had it's share of problems, primarily being complaints of a lack of power. The engine gained the reputation of the "Slugs heart" or "Coração de lesma" in Andaluzia.
