Auetal officially the State of Auetal (Kivuian: Staat Auetal), is a province in western Kivu bordering the provinces of XX, XX, and XX. Aerzen is the state capital of XX, as well as the largest city. Auetal is the twelveth-largest of Kivu’s twenty five staats, with an area of 65,569 square kilometres (25,316 sq mi), and the fourth-most populous, with 3,267,087 inhabitants, as of 2020.
