Early life and childhood

Abner Mahad was born to Waikan Orgulaopan, a Kathmani shipbuilder and trader, and Tasneem Hajjar, a prostitude and vagrant from Montriz, Urshawabad. Mahad was born from a one night stand between Waikan and Tasneem and therefore never knew his father. His mother was killed when Abner was 15. Abner grew up on the streets of Montriz during the Sovereign Darbul Empire of Urshawabad. His mother was mixed tribe, but Abner always had an attraction to the Quomorac tribe and its history. He was never formerly schooled but he stole book and by 17 years taught himself how to read. The Quomorac did not have an organized religion, but instead various dieties they worshipped. The Darbuli's in the other hand had embraced the Puirlava and the teachings of Gabriel Jursan. Abner Mahad learned how to read using the Puirlava, among other books, and was well versed in Jursan theology. At age 18, Abner's first claimed vision occured. He described it in the Dasmud "I awoke, but I was dreaming. My vision was blurred, but then became a bright light on the edges of my vision and the center clear as crystal. I looked down at my hands, so surreal and detailed. I walked and my feet touched the soil, course and uneven. I felt one, connected to the ground, and at inner peace. I did not know what this experience was. Yet I was not afraid. Nothing made me afraid. I was calm. And then I awoke. Awoke to the world that was imperfect and made by a Creator that had led us to our own devices. But that was not true, was it?"
