The Red Penguin Party (Ladin: Pinguin Rune Partì; PIR) is a satirical political party in Tirol. It was founded and officially registered in Hall in 2003. The party was founded in response to increased activism by the Red Eagle Party and National Corporatists. The name, red penguin was conceived in a response to a campaign by the Clerico-Fascist Red Eagle Party asking for the country to 'let the eagle fly', hence the choice of a flightless bird.
