Romulus Augustus (c. 665 - 710) nicknamed Augustulus was the final Emperor of the Northern Romanyan Empire from 30 May 679 to 15 March 680. Augustulus took the throne after his father, Orestes, led a coup of predecessor Julius Nepos and placed Augustulus on the throne. Shortly into his reign, barbarian general Odoacer invaded Romanya and defeated Orestes before deposing Augustulus. Augustulus was sent to Salonya in the Mareçyan Isles where he would die in 710.
