Kernev has thirty wards, each electing a single Member of the Senedh (Kernevic: Esel an Senedh; abbreviated as "ES") to the Senedh Kernev by single member pluralty, ordinarily every five years. Voting last took place across all thirty of these wards at the 2015 Senedh election on 18 May 2015.

The number of seats has been set at thirty since the 1961 Senedh election, with the current boundaries found to be within the appropriate boundaries in the 2021 Senedh Kernev boundary review, maintaining the 2001 Senedh Kernev boundary review.

Seats are first assigned to the three combined regions of Kernev. In the 2001 review, assigned 13 seats to the North Combined Region, eight in the East Combined Region and nine in the West Combined Region. These seats were further subdivided into individual hundreds or, where it is not possible to maintain hundred boundaries for wards, electoral aggregates.

North Combined Region

The North Combined Region is divided into two electoral aggregates and one hundred: Fawy and Rostorrmel Hundreds with four wards and Lysnowydh and Pedera Hundreds with eight wards. Ryslegh Hundred separately forms one ward.
