History
In 1924, the Qingtian Air Conditioner Company was created by Ding Baozhai. It initially saw success in selling its units to industrial contexts, with many manufacturing companies using their products to keep warehouses and factories cool during the summer.
The company moved onto commercial selling of AC units in the 1950s as they became more affordable and quieter for the average household. The company reached its first peak in sales during the 1980s, selling several hundred units per week. The company suffered from a massive drop in sales in 2016 to 2019 after being forced to recall a large batch of AC units after a fault was discovered. In March 2019, the company sold itself to Sconian company Salsabeel International.
