Island country
An island country, island state or an island nation is a country whose primary territory consists of one or more islands or parts of islands. As of current, at least three internationally recognized countries are considered to be island countries; Lurjize, Rakeo, and Reykanes. Island countries and territories have been historically more stable than many continental states, but are vulnerable to conquest by naval superpowers.
Remote or significant islands and archipelagos that are not themselves sovereign are often known as dependencies or overseas territories. One prominent example is the San Carlos Islands, a well-known territory of Creeperopolis.

War
Reykanes
Historically most wars were naval invasions or raids of other coasts, but there has been internal conflict on the island itself. It was effected by colonialism. Some regions were colonised by foreign countries as the location of Reykanes is important in controlling the region, being a halfway point between continents. Ever since the Ajaki–Reykani War, Reykanes chosen to avoid wars as much as possible.
Rakeo
Post independence, Rakeo has had numerous internal armed conflicts. Experience with external conflicts, such as the decisive defeat of Rakeo in the Surian Fishing War, has led the country to avoid engaging in warfare.
Natural resources

Rakeo has little to no hydrocarbon resources, but forests and a plethora of mineral deposits have fueled extractive industries over the past hundred years.
Reykanes
Most of the resources are fish related and abundance of forests, however small deposits of oil can be found there. Due to the mountainous region lots of mineral deposits can be found there, which enabled a huge mining business there.

The economy of Reykanes is a highly developed mixed economy with state-ownership in strategic areas. Although sensitive to global business cycles, the economy of Reykanes has shown robust growth since the start of the naval exploration of the continents. The country has a very high standard of living compared with other Ecrosian countries, and a strongly integrated welfare system. Reykanes's modern manufacturing and welfare system rely on a financial reserve produced by exploitation of natural resources.
