The Abbasid Caliphate is the third Caliphate to succeed The Prophet Muhammad after his death in 632 CE It was established by a dynasty descended from Muhammad's uncle, Abbas ibn Abd al-Muttalib (566–653 CE), from whom the dynasty takes its name, they overthrew the Umayyad Caliphate in the Abbasid Revolution, killing Marwan Ibn Muhammad, and establishing the Abbasid Dynasty, this Caliphate experienced the biggest development in a Caliphate, as this Caliphate is famous for the Islamic Golden Age an age that experienced great mathmeticans and scientists.
