The Dam Thanh Charger is a family of diesel-electric passenger locomotives designed and manufactured by Dam Thanh Mobility for the Ostlandet market.
There are five variants of the Charger, tailored for different operators and types of service: BLC-42 for Baltanla long-distance service, BLC-42E dual mode for Baltanla National Railways inter-city and long-distance routes that serve the Seattal Bay Corridor, DTC-44 for Baltanla Federal state-supported inter-city service or commuter rail operators, DTCB-40 for Mountline inter-city service and DTCV-42 for TBD inter-city service in TBD.
The first production Charger, a DTC-44, was unveiled on March 26, 2016, and entered revenue service on August 24, 2017. It was followed by the DTCB-40, which inaugurated Mountline service on January 13, 2018. The first BLC-42 was delivered to Baltanla National Railways on June 17, 2021, and entered revenue service on February 8, 2022, on the Auto-Train.
The Charger is often paired with Venture passenger cars, also built by Siemens, as part of a trainset.
