The Prydenic languages (also Insular Gallaetic; Kernevic: yethow Prydhenek) form one of the two branches of the Gallaetic language family; the other being the Goidelic languages. It comprises of the extant languages Fawyek and Kernevic. The name Prydenic derives from the Paleo-Gallaetic name for the isles off the east coast of Paleocacher where these languages were initially spoken, though now they are only spoken in the Kernevic Isles.
