Peairtchu is a major city and the capital of the Hapatmitasian province of Dunangall. With a recorded population of NUMBER in July 2022, it is the 3rd-largest city in Hapatmitas, after Donideann, and the RANKING in Ostlandet. Its urban area has a population of around NUMBER and, with other cities, forms the Peairtchu Metropolitan Region. Peairtchu stands on the Forth River at the head of an estuary located DISTANCE down to the Acernis Ocean. The city is currently divided into 40 districts, all of which are currently represented on the Comhairle Peairtchu.

Peairtchu is renowned for its reputation as the host of international law institutions, printing and publishing firms, and multimedia corporations. The city is also a major tourist destination in Hapatmitas. The Greysfriar Gate, located about 32 km (20 mi) from the downtown districts, is one of the most popular attractions in the city, formerly serving as the northern city gate. Peairtchu is also home to the country's oldest performing arts centre, the Central City Centre, which was formerly known as Peairtchu Philharmonic Performing Arts Centre from its opening date in 1894 until 1974.
