Deutsch: Der märkische Adler entstammt einem Siegel aus dem Jahre 1170. Das Wappen der preußischen Provinz Brandenburg wurde in dieser Form erstmals durch königlichen Erlass am 9. Januar 1817 genehmigt; am 11. Januar 1864 wurde das Wappen durch den blauen Brustschild mit dem Erzkämmererstab ergänzt.
English: The arms were first granted on January 9, 1817 and are confirmed (escutcheon added) on January 11, 1864. They are derived from a seal of 1170, which showed the eagle first time. |
