Dhubeira (Arabic: ذوبايرا) is the official capital and largest city of the Republic of Chejjaria. It is located on the Houttin valley and beside lake Bnaïden. It also shares a much larger metropolitan area, connected with the city. The city has a population of 3.7 million and is divided into many neighbourhoods with a significant portion of each sect of the country, most popular neighbourhoods include Bourdj El-Khelili, Dahlieh, Fetimé and Khan Humïra.
Dhubeira was founded around the 3000 BCE as the first settlements of a group of people that settled near lake Bnaïdin. It was built there because it is an important place of cultivation throughout it's history.
